Who am I?

Already as 8 years old I started running around with butterfly nets in vicinity of my native Sabinov. Later on, I became interested in how nature works. This interest in nature led me to study a biology at the Faculty of Science University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Unfortunately, my hobby has not become my job. The butterfly net was gradually replaced by a film and later by a digital SLR camera. Availability of all advanced technology worked as a trigger and made myself an enthusiastic nature lover and conservationist. On my frequent wanderings through a magical countryside of the south of the Slovak Paradise, I sometimes manage to make extraordinary shots, which I would like to share with you on my web page you have just entered. Welcome!

What do I photograph?

We can say that everything what is connected to the nature and the flora and fauna of the southern part of the Slovak Paradise National Park. If anyone expects that my photos are artistic masterpieces like the magazine ads, he will probably be disappointed. All shots are taken naturally as I found and saw the plants, animals and their evolutional stages and tried to immortalize them by my camera. So far i was making shot for my own pleasure, and I was saving photos in the archive, but perhaps the time has come for making them available to all who are interested. Perhaps these images contribute to the change of our behavior to the nature and its hidden treasures as people and not barbarians. If even in one person I will raise interest in deeper nature learning and protecting, my work will make sense.
